We had our formal at Doltone House last night! I was feeling a little stressed since I was responsible for it!

Luckily, i think everyone had a really lovely time! I can't believe how beautiful and handsome everyone looked.

 Our grade is full of stunners!! 

The food was all right - it was hit and miss. Misses include the prawn entree and steak for the main. The veal tortellini, fish and both desserts were delicious! The dancefloor itself was quite small, but everyone was sooo into it and danced the night away! It quickly became irrelevant! The teachers dancing will forever be ingrained in my mind. LOVE IT!

In other news, I am officially employed!!! :)

I Want A Duckie

Another day, another 80s flick. Watched Pretty in Pink today, which I really enjoyed.

Can I just say, Jon Cryer is too cute for words. He plays Duckie, the perfect boy - everrrrrrr!!

Now What?

This is my second day of "freedom". And I'm bored out of my mind!!!

Spent my first day watching 1980s cult classic coming of age movies - Ferris Bueller's Day Off followed by The Breakfast Club. So now im just gonna spam you with some memorable scenes.

These high school based movies made me feel a little reminiscent. I should have been a little more daring and bad ass. I have never been to a single after school detention!

By the way, Charlie Sheen used to be a total babe.

I feel like I need to watch Easy A again because I am finally understanding the references.

And I shall be continuing this movie marathon. I'm thinking Sixteen Candles, Say Anything, Pretty in Pink. And yes, this is what i like to do at freaking 2.48am...

The End is Near

Tomorrow, 12.30 I will be a very relieved girl. I will have finished my last paper.

Cannot wait to put down the last full stop at the end of the last sentence.

Thinking about post HSC celebrations instead of studying for the test...I will be going to El Jannah's for the first time straight after the exam! And when I get home, I will meet Siri and will have the iphone 4S in my hot little hands. Absolutely dying for a new phone omg. Can't wait to just sleep all day and stay up all night doing pointless things haha!

In the meantime, I have a date with Albert Speer :(

My wishlist folder is getting out of hand, so I thought a good way of controlling what I spend is to organise it on here.

001. Film Camera
I really want one for schoolies. I know I can use my DSLR, but there's something about the grainy, faded look and effort needed in film photography that really tells a story. And I don't want to take my dad's film camera cos if anything happens to it, he will actually kill me...

Currently thinking of getting the Holga K200NM because:

• it's cheap ($54 on ebay)

(thinking of getting it in blue)

• it's got a removable fisheye lens

I think the lens will especially look great when I go to the beaches and what during schoolies at the central coast..

• Multiple exposure button

Which pretty much makes pictures looks pretty and overlapped and stuff. And also colour filters (the colour plastic bits) to make pics a certain colour. Never used these features before, so it would be fun to experiment with.

It seems like a pretty decent, cheap and fun camera to play around with. Maybe I'll get it when I actually get a job and pay off my Big Day Out and now Florence and the Machine concert ticket...

My Not So Great 18th

So today I am 18. An adult. No longer a child. Should've been a massive milestone worth celebrating but it was like any average day. It so happens that my birthday is right in the middle of HSC - the day before maths exams for most people. So a party was definitely a no go. So I listened to Foster the People and Cut Copy (Alexander Skarsgard went to their concert. Cut Copy is Australian. This somehow made me happy. Just marry me now, ok?) and had a party by myself.

And then I went to a wedding. Any wedding held at Cabramatta immediately raises alarms for me. This restaurant was especially dodgey as we were greeted by fishy, trash smells. Oh Cabra. The actual reception was quite lovely. The bride and groom were totally in love - you could just tell. There were heaps of old Russian-Chinese men, some which resembled Sean Penn. There was also a gay couple that danced on chairs which was quite amusing.

So yeah, my "special day" was spent celebrating the bride and groom's. The only thing that made my day were the copious amounts of facebook posts, msn messages, texts, tweets and emails wishing me a happy birthday and luck for the HSC. And yes, I am well connected in the social networking world :P

I didn't even get a cake. Which means that I haven't blown out candles or made a special birthday wish, which is quite sad. Maybe this marks the end of such "childish" birthday traditions? :( I guess my birthday present comes in the form of a Big Day Out ticket. No YSL Arty Ring yet :(

All I know is that after HSC I am going to to make up for it. Big time.
